B/OSS Modifies Service Assurance Forum

B/OSS Modifies Service Assurance Forum

Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) July 25, 2011

VIRGO Publishing, a leading business-to-business information services company announed today that B/OSS is moving the Service Assurance Forum to an all-digital platform to make it as convenient as possible for our BSS/OSS audience.

The Service Assurance Forum consists of original research, a group of webinars, two Reports and a Digital Issue. It is built around a request-for-information (RFI) format. The RFI, based on the needs of a fictitious but realistic company, and written by B/OSS Editor-in-Chief Tim McElligott, can be downloaded here, http://bit.ly/qJjsTV.

The RFI approach is meant to create a level of precision and comparability that is not possible in a panel or roundtable format.

Our audience has indicated they want B/OSS to make one important change in our plans to spotlight Service Assurance. Initial planning included a small live event in Boston in late September. We are changing that part of the plan to make the event virtual. That will allow BSS/OSS professionals who cannot squeeze a trip to Boston into their busy schedules to participate fully in the Service Assurance Forum.

Service Assurance is one of the hottest topics in the BSS/OSS industry. Service Assurance will grow by $ 1.1 billion – or 48% – in the five year period 2009-14, representing a CAGR of 8.3% during a harsh global economic downturn. By 2014, the Service Assurance market will be $ 3.4 billion, up from $ 2.3 billion in 2009.

The premise of the Service Assurance Forum is to create a deeper understanding of the opportunities and issues Service Assurance presents to service providers by mobilizing a variety of information gathering, analytic and reporting tools around the topic, and to bring the entire package of information to B/OSS’ service provider audience in a convenient, intelligent package.

The RFI responses will be presented in a series of brief webinars early this autumn. That will allow the audience to access the information on demand, at a time and on the device that works best for them.

So now the Service Assurance Forum will be delivering the same in-depth information through completely digital means.

The beauty of these blogging engines and CMS platforms is the lack of limitations and ease of manipulation that allows developers to implement rich content and ‘skin’ the site in such a way that with very little effort one would never notice what it is making the site tick all without limiting content and effectiveness.
